Lomboy Farm

Lomboy Farms, established in 1972 by Avelino and Consolacion Lomboy, is the premiere grapes & guapples producer in the country. Spread across various areas in Bauang, La Union and in Guimba, Nueva Ecija, the farm is a landmark and a top tourist & farm education destination, being the 1st Department of Tourism Accredited Agri-Tourism Site in Region 1 & with the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI).

This is because one man dreamed and dared to do it first. More than four decades ago, in the silent barrio of Urayong, Bauang, La Union, the seeds of what is now the local grape industry was sown.

Mr. Avelino A. Lomboy, hailed as the 'Philippine Grape King' planted his first 20 cuttings in his backyard in 1972. After 2 arduous years of research and experimentation, the vines bore fruit. And as they say, the rest is history!

Lomboy Farms became synonymous with quality grapes and farming innovations such as the introduction of the dwarf guapple and two-tiered dragon fruit culture. To date, the farm continues to be a training ground and demo farm for many of the government's agencies as well private sector who desire to venture into grape & guapple production and farming operations in general.
